Career resources at Indiana University
Designed to assist all students in the College of Arts + Sciences, the Walter Center for Career Achievement is the best place to start when students begin thinking about their futures. From organizing career fairs and evaluating job materials, to advising students one-on-one, the Walter Center is committed to preparing students to be competitive on the job market after their time at IU. If you are not affiliated with the College of Arts + Sciences, the Career Development Center can also help.
Each school at IU offers their own career services and each department offers their own professional development resources. This means that Russian Flagship students get double and even triple the preparation and guidance when it comes to career planning. It does not matter if students are combining their Russian Flagship certification with a degree from the School of Art, Architecture + Design, the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, the Kelley School of Business, the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, or the Jacobs School of Music. All students will receive expert career advice and job-search counseling.
Not sure which major will go best with the Russian Flagship Certification? Students can get paired with a career coach and receive degree counseling at the Career Development Center. They can also network and make career connections with IU alumni by joining the Walter Center Success Network.
