Jordan holds an MA in Slavic Language and Literature with a focus on South Slavic literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an MA in Slavic Linguistics from Indiana University. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures majoring in Slavic Linguistics and minoring in Second Language Studies. In addition to Russian and Serbian, Jordan has also studied Ukrainian and Bulgarian. Her primary research interests include the acquisition of grammatical gender, the semantic distribution of gendered terms in Russian, and language contact in Ukraine.
